Founded on possibilities
In 1923, James J. Yeo and his son, W.L. Yeo, later joined by Lloyd Yeo, entered into a partnership for the purpose of practicing public accounting in Saginaw, Michigan. The Yeo family shaped the firm’s reputation for integrity and personalized service, steadily growing from a small accounting partnership to a family of companies with more than 225 employees in nine locations across Michigan.
Today, Yeo & Yeo is among the leading accounting, tax, audit, technology, medical billing, wealth management, and advisory firms in the nation. Yeo & Yeo is a trusted partner for organizations and individuals seeking to achieve their specific goals on their unique paths. Driven by a vibrant, people-first culture, the firm is dedicated to solving challenges through its four distinct but connected businesses: Yeo & Yeo CPAs & Advisors, Yeo & Yeo Technology, Yeo & Yeo Medical Billing & Consulting, and Yeo & Yeo Wealth Management.

The Story Behind the Yeo Name
As the third-generation leader of the firm, Lloyd Yeo said, “My great grandfather, Thomas Yeo came to the Americas from England in the late 1800s. It was said that he took the name YEO which was a derivative of the name yeoman.” The English word “yeoman,” means attendant, in the royal household regarded for loyal, vigorous, and effective service.
